A nice day out on Garry with a release higher than the normal, which pads out the rapids, increases the power, beefs up the holes and waves and make it seem like a new river!

Originally paddled part of this run at high water with Chris Forrest and Andy Jackson, but had to miss out a bunch of it as it was too high.  Returned at a lower flow for a first full descent with Stu Rogerrs and Andy.  A great classic.

Allt Breineag

While much of Britain is under siege by the weather, for kayakers, some rivers are just at the right level and making for a great day out. Did what was probably the first descent of this wee gem many years ago with Andy Jackson and it was strange to be back, thought of Andy a lot. My memories of the run were sketchy, blurred by subsequent events. Firstly it was nice to have shared it with Andy and secondly it was great to rediscover what is actually a very fine run. Paddled with Ted Piper.  One of the fine drops below, paddler Chris and a wee video link below.
