The first pitch was just there, with a couple of weaknesses below the bulges. But good ice above allowed a safe pull over in each case. As always the cliff feels steeper than it looks from below. David led the second pitch and decided to take the well formed Direct finish (grade 4,5) which proved to be incredibly steep for the lower half. A very fine pitch with reasonable pro.
Countless planes zoomed over whilst we climbed the route and it was easy to see from the jet trails how this route got its name!
