Sally, Larry and I spent the 1st of February at Steven's Pass ski area. This is a famous pass across the Cascades on Highway 2, linking Leavenworth with the west coast and Seattle.The rail line passes through here and has had many epics through the years with avalanches.
Day was bluebird and very cold. Above, Sally is skiing on the divide between the front side and back bowl.
Looking south into the heart of the Chiwaukum Mountains and Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. Our land at Leavenworth lies on the far side of these mountains.
