Living the dream

A highland existence interspersed with regular travels and running a charity in Nepal

16 June 09 Carswell River, near Athabasca, Canada

From Carswell Lake we entered the small Carswell River, a tributary of the William. Here Jason and Su tackle a minor rapid.
Matt and Lawrie showing good style on the Carswell River.

Some rapids were extremely shallow and rocky and some even required wading and dragging when the river channel widened too much.

We were fortunate that the level of the river catchment was relatively high.
Keith and Pat, sally's cousins, with whom we have done all our trips in Northern Saskatchewan.
Finally the Carswell drops into the much larger William River and almost immediately at this large pool there is a fine camp on the island. A long day to get through the Carswell River!
