Nearing the end of a long day paddling, a thunderstorm starts to break upon us.
Shortly afterwards we made a camp and then the heavens opened, and the rain was so heavy it could not even drain into the sand. Fortunately it only lasted an hour or so, after which we could raise a tarp and set up a camp for cooking.
